Can I submit personal prayer
requests on this site?
No, sorry, VineyardPrayer is not
set up to handle personal prayer requests. Please contact your
local
Vineyard church for assistance.
Can I submit prayer requests
for my Vineyard church on this site?
No, but you can
send them here and we will forward them to the Vineyard
National office (USA) for
distribution to intercessors around the country.
I would like to begin a
prayer ministry in my church. Where do I begin?
There are so many
possibilities to focus on in a prayer ministry -- what are the most
important things?
Good question. Here are some
of the most important things to consider: unity with senior pastor (and
senior leadership team), prayer shields for pastors, corporate prayer times
(especially worship-based prayer), prayer chain, prayer training. It
is advantageous to have a special room set aside exclusively for prayer, but
not essential initially. A prayer ministry's primary task is
mobilizing the entire church to pray, not do all the praying
themselves.
What is worship-based
prayer?
Worship-based prayer is a kind of
prayer meeting, where the focus of the prayer meeting is seeking God's face,
because He is worthy to be sought. Another model for prayer meetings
could be focused on seeking God's hand of blessing (request-based prayer),
which could result in missing His face. In worship-based prayer,
although the
focus is on seeking His face, He delights in opening His hand to us.
Does my church have to have
a well-developed prayer ministry in order to join
VineyardPrayer?
Not at all! Regardless of
where your church is in prayer ministry, whether you have a well-established
prayer ministry, a group of intercessors who get together to pray regularly,
or are
wondering where to begin,
VineyardPrayer
is meant to encourage, equip, resource, and support you right where you're
at. If you want your church to be a praying church, please
join us, and together we will grow to be the
house of prayer for all
nations that Jesus said His house would be.
What exactly does a "house
of prayer" look like?
I have a question you're not
addressing.
